Fazilat-e-Durood-e-Pak


Assalamu Alaikum waRahmatullahi waBarkatuh!
WHAT IS DUROOD SHAREEF AND THE IMPORTANCE OF DUROOD SHAREEF
Divine blessings on Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) is the highest and the most meritorious act in our Deen. This "Divine Blessings" is called Durood Shareef.
When Almighty Allah sends Durood and Salaams upon Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim), He is actually blessing him.
When the Malaa'ikah and the Muslims send Durood and Salaams to Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim), they are actually showing Almighty Allah their respect for the Holy Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim).
Muslims hope that, through the blessings of the Durood and Salaams, Almighty Allah will forgive them of their sins and increase their status in this world and in the Aakirah. The Malaa'ikah hope that Almighty Allah will increase their status.
Durood is a sure means of Allah Ta'ala granting blessings, peace, prosperity and favours of great magnitude on one who recites Durood Shareef on the Holy Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim). The reciter of Durood Shareef receives all the benefits in this world and utmost gain in the next world with addition to the love of the Holy Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim).
The invocation of Blessings on the Holy Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) is styled in Arabic as "Salawat", in Persian as "Durood", and in Urdu as "Salawat-o-Salaam".
The regular recitation of Durood Shareef on Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) lifts up our hearts on to a plane of comprehension where we gaze in our new found peace and moral armour.
The reciter of Durood Shareef will, after some time, come to realize by himself that it is the spontaneous outpouring of his heart before the Great Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) of Islam, whose love and attachment is needed to get all the present day problems solved and obtain mercy in the next world. The more Durood Shareef we recite, the greater the gain and benefit will be achieved in both the worlds. Hazrat Shaikh-e-Akbar Mo'inuddin ibn Arabi (radi Allahu anhu) has stated that, "Those who claim to love and revere the Holy Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) should increase their recital of the Durood Shareef in patience and perseverance until, through the mercy of Rasoolullah (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim), they have the opportunity of witnessing his blessed countenance".
The special and exclusive aspect of this prayer is that Durood Shareef is immediately accepted by Allah Ta'ala. No one can doubt its acceptance, as Durood Shareef is being recited by Allah Ta'ala too. Not only this, but He has revealed this secret in the Holy Quran by saying: "Wara fa'na laka zikrah " (Surah Al-Inshirah, V-4) ." Translation: “And We have exalted for you your remembrance” Muslims are a very fortunate people. Allah Ta'ala chose for them the name of Islam as a religion, declared to be comprehensive and final for mankind. The person chose to deliver this message in this specific form and extra-ordinary style of love and hope was the most beloved of Allah Ta'ala and became the Light of Divinity to be shed upon the entire universe. This Light devastated all the domains of darkness and depression. By reciting Durood Shareef (Salawat) we invite Light and drive away all darkness from our inner soul. Our mind becomes soft and love saturated. If there is softness in everything, it tends beauty to it. People become ugly owing to lack of this essential beauty of the inner part of the mind. This ugliness cannot be glossed over by any amount of cosmetics. It is the Durood Shareef on the Holy Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) which works wonders. In the same manner, the Holy Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) taught us Durood Shareef to attain salvation, perfect peace and maximum gain in this world as well as the next. The soul is the soil where the faith of Allah is to be implanted firmly and faithfully which requires continuous recitation of Durood Shareef to thrive and flourish. We have been told by Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) that Durood Shareef is itself Light and when Light enters the soul every aspiration is achieved and every goal is won. Nothing remains thereafter to worry about. Human spirit today is depressed everywhere and mankind has come to the edge of destruction, decay and devastation. Everyone is engulfed in untold miseries and tragedies of a very great magnitude. Troubles and tortures, pain, poverty, hunger, ill-health, frustrations and accidents have broken the back of a human being. All this can evaporate with the recitation of Durood Shareef on the Holy Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) who has clearly proclaimed that Durood Shareef is the panacea of all ills and that if any one comes across a calamity he should recite Durood Shareef in the maximum number. Allah Ta'ala has promised that if anyone recites Durood only once, He showers ten blessings on the reciter immediately.
The highest blessings which Islam has conferred on man is the concept of Tauheed or Unity of Allah in its purest form. This has been furnished to mankind through Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim), the last of the Prophets. It is a cardinal duty of every Muslim man and woman, young and old to entertain the highest respect, regard, love and esteem for the Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) and his family. It should be clear that obedience to Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) is always to be charged with intense love and highest regard for him, for it is through love and esteem that truth can be comprehended and communion with the Creator can be vouch-safed. In fact, love is the motive force, reverence dissolves and implicit obedience to the Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) which is the natural outcome. It is therefore incumbent on those who love him, to pray to Allah Ta'ala and His Angels in wishing for him peace according to the Divine Command. This will reshape the life which is otherwise infested with turmoil. The reciter will get countless and matchless benefits in both the Worlds and can claim to be the lover of Holy Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim). As Muslims we should recite Durood Shareef in the Arabic language. Islam seeks to create a unified outlook and it is in the Arabic language alone which welds all Muslims into one great brotherhood. Besides, Arabic is the language of Heaven, it is the language of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim), it is the language of the Angels and it is the language of Hazrat Abu-Bakr, Hazrat Umar, Hazrat Uthman and Hazrat Ali (radi Allahu Anhumma).
The daily recitation of Durood Shareef has a tremendous effect on the human head, heart, mind and person. It purifies thoughts and intensifies actions. It makes passages for perfect peace and personal satisfaction.

Month Of Safar & Bad Omens;
Safar & Superstitions
Safar is the second month of the Lunar calendar. There are many misconceptions prevalent amongst the people regarding this month. On one hand, bad lucks and omens have been associated with this month and on the other hand self made solutions for such things have been proposed as well, such as not holding marriages in this month, boiling chick peas and distributing them so that the bad omens are passed on to others, making 365 balls of flour and throwing them in water so that bad omens are driven away and provision is increased, reciting Surah Muzammil 313 times, considering this month to be ‘hard’ for the dead and considering the 13th of this month referred to as ‘tairah teezi’ to be unlucky.
All such superstitions and beliefs have no basis in Islam what so ever. How can any day or month be unlucky or be a portent of bad omen when infact months and years are formed by the alteration of day and nights and Allah Subhana Watala has made day and night as a sign and to help us make the calendar as Allah says,
"And We have appointed the night and the day as two signs. Then, We have obliterated the sign of the night (with darkness) while We have made the sign of the day illuminating, that you may seek bounty from your Lord, and that you may know the number of the years and the reckoning. And We have explained everything (in detail) with full explanation.” (Al Isra 17:12)
Allah Subhana Watala has also told us the purpose of the different stages of the Moon.It helps us to mark the beginning and end of Months and Allah Azzawjal has also told us that there are twelve months. He says:
“They ask you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم ) about the new moons. Say: These are signs to mark fixed periods of time for mankind and for the pilgrimage.”(Al Baqarah 2:189)
“Verily, the number of months with Allah is twelve months (in a year), so was it ordained by Allah on the Day when He created the heavens and the Earth;”(At Tawbah 9: 36)
It is this revolution of day and night that makes up weeks and months and years, which constitutes time, regarding which Prophet Muhammad (s) said that Allah Zawjul has said,
“ The son of Adam hurts me for he abuses Time though I am Time: in My Hands are all things, and I cause the revolution of day and night.” (Bukhari)
So it is very clear that day and night is from Allah and considering any time, hour, day, month or year to be unlucky is a great misconception and a sin.
Historical Perspective;
The Arabs used to hold three months of Ziqadah, Zul Hajja and Muharram as sacred. They did not indulge in war or crime during these months. They used to wait for these months to be over so that they can be free from these restrictions and indulge in robbery, theft and war. Therefore as soon as Muharram used to be over, and Safar began, they would leave their houses vacant with the intent of crime, theft, robbery and war.
Thus the idiom ‘Safar al Makaan’ meaning empty houses became famous. The word ‘Safrun or ‘Sifrun’ means ‘to become vacant’. Like the saying goes in Arabic ‘Sifrun minal Mata’a’ which means ‘ The house were vacated(from its furniture, things etc)” [Lisaan Al Arab Az Bin Manzoor, Vol IV,p 462 – 463]
The famous hadith scholar and historian Sakhawi has written in his famous book, ‘Al Mashoor Fi Asma-il ayam walshahoor’ that this was the reason for naming of this month as ‘safar.’ When the Arabs saw that during this month many crimes were committed, people killed and houses emptied, they associated bad omens, and ill fate with this month, instead of looking at their own evil deeds and wrong doings, where as Allah Subhana Watala has told us that every person is responsible for his own omen and fate.
“And [for] every person We have imposed his fate upon his neck, and We will produce for him on the Day of Resurrection a record which he will encounter spread open.”(17:13)
It is commonly believed that bad omens come from external sources which is why man tends to blame either some other person or animal or an object, a day or a month or a number where as Allah Subhana Watala through this Ayah has made it very clear that every man’s omen and bad luck is due to his own misdeeds and wrong doings.
Allah Subhana Watala further says in the Quran,
“What comes to you of good is from Allah , but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself” (4:79)
Superstition is Shirk;
A man leaves his house, on the way a black cat crosses his path, he think this is a bad omen and therefore returns back home. Though this seems to be such a minor act, however in reality, it really means that he thinks that the black cat has the power and authority to change the man’s fate. This is shirk because it means that other than Allah, the cat also has control and authority over a man’s life and to bring harm to him (Naauuzobillah).
Other Common Superstitious Beliefs prevalent in our society are seeing someone disliked in the morning means the whole day will be full of bad luck, twitching eyes means bad luck and evil portent, Itching in the right palm means money will be acquired.If one shoe comes on top of the other, it means a journey will be undertaken. Taking omens from colors, such as wearing black means illness will strike, or not wearing black clothes because black is the color of the cover of Kaabah, not wearing green colored shoes due to respect because green is the color of the dome of Prophet’s (s) Mosque.
Holding such beliefs not only led man to make halal things haram on himself but led him to associate fate and destiny with these things, which is not only a great misguidance but a great sin ‘Shirk’ because no one other than Allah has the power and control over man’s fate, and all the things from which good or bad portents are derived are nothing but creations of Allah who have no control over other creations.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said,
“Taking omens is shirk; taking omens is shirk. He said it three times. Every one of us has some (superstition), but Allah removes it by trust (in Him).” (Sunan Abi Dawood)
He also said, “A person who derived bad luck from something and refrained from doing what he was intending to do, he has committed shirk. The companions asked him what would be its expiation, the Prophet replied “He should say,
‘ O Allah there is no portent other than Your portent, no goodness other than Your goodness, and none worthy of worship other than You’.”(Musnad Ahmed)

“Hazrat Abu Huraira narrated, Prophet Muhammad said , “ when a person does absolution and washes his face, all the sins of his face get washed, when he washes his feet all the sins of his feet get washed with water and in this way his all sins get washed”.
WADDU IS KEY TO GOOD HEALTH
“People who Believe! When you wish to stand up for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands up to the elbows, and pass wet palms over your heads and wash your feet up to the ankles; and if you need a bath, clean yourselves thoroughly; and if you are sick or on a journey, or one of you returns from answering the call of nature, or you have cohabited with women, and you do not find water, then cleanse (yourself) with clean soil - therefore stroke your soiled palms over your faces and your hands with it; Allah does not will to place you in hardship, but He wills to fully purify you and complete His favour upon you, so that you may be grateful.”
(Surah E Almaida, verse: 6)

THREE MAIN ADVANTAGES OF WADDU
How does Waddu effects on blood arteries. Arteries are blood vessels that circulate purified blood from the Heart to all parts of body. The second function of blood vessels is to bring unpurified blood from all parts of body to the Heart and these vessels are called Veins. Any kind of hurdle or disturbance in this circulatory system increases Diastolic blood pressure that increases pressure on heart. When Heart beats, its muscles shrink and relax, and any kind of malfunctioning of muscles of Heart may result in risk of Heart problems or death.
WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF CIRCULATION OF BLOOD IN TWO DIRECTIONS.
The most important aspect of circulatory system is healthy flexibility of the arteries and veins. The more they are away from Heart the more thin they are. If their flexibility decreases or they turn hard then it results in disturbance of circulatory system.. The causes of hardness of these blood vessels are many including unhealthy diet or malnutrition etc that is another field of research. But let us understand one practice that helps in preventing hardness of blood vessels. The vessels those are away from heart the vessels in feet and hand have more risk of getting hard and result in increase of pressure on Heart. Warm water expands them where as cold water shrinks them and such exercise keeps them healthy and flexible. That is why Abolution or Waddu create temperature difference with washing with water in hands and feet and refresh tired vessels and energize them with more flexibility. Thus the benediction of Quranic verse is clear and vivid and proves that Islamic practices are best for human health.
That is why a person who is regular in Namaz stays fit and active.
Only physical benefits are mentioned here where as spiritual benefits are far more than these.
THE SKIN AND THE FUNCTION OF SENSORY NERVES
Professor Dr. Tijaet Tijasan was told about Quranic verses about different organs of human body, he said that he read such explanations in books of Buddhism as well. When he visited King Abdul Aziz University after a year, he was reminded of about the references from books of Buddhism that he ultimately failed to present as there was no such reference in them.
Many questions were asked about sensory nerves in skin and the doctor told that pain is only felt by the skin, if skin is burnt, pain is intolerable but below skin, there are no nerves that feel pain.
And Quran says:
“We shall soon put those who disbelieve in our signs into the fire; whenever their skins are cooked (fully burnt) we shall change them for new skins so they may taste the punishment (again and again); indeed Allah is Almighty, Wise.
(SURAH E NISA, verse: 56)
Above Quranic verse was explained to the doctor and he agreed that quranic truth about skin is correct and if skin burns and new skin is given, it is skin that feels pain, that is why all the injuries to skin are painful but inside human body, no one feels pain of internal organs after sugary.
Later the doctor asked Who is Allah, he was told Allah is the Most Beneficent ever Merciful who taught us Quran through His beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallaho alaihe wasallam. The doctor went back to his country and carried on his research about Quranic Truths and a bright lucky day came in his life when he wrote the paper, and lectured on the topic
“MEDICAL SCIENCE IN QURAN AND SUNNAH” and embraced Islam in a conference. And Quran says:
“And those who received the knowledge know that what is sent down upon you from your Lord is the truth, and it shows the path of the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy”
(Surah E Saba para 22, verse:6)

Muslims are forbidden to harm themselves or others. Yet millions of Muslims all over the world are doing just that - harming, even killing themselves and their families.
In the Qur'an, Allah says, “...he [the Prophet] commands them what is just, and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good, and prohibits them from what is bad..." (Qur'an 7:157).
So what are the evils of tobacco use, for your health and for your religion?
Danger To Your HealthAllah says, "...make not your own hands contribute to your destruction..." (Qur'an 2:195);
"...nor kill yourselves..." (Qur'an 4:29).
It is universally understood that cigarette smoking causes a number of health problems that often ultimately result in death. Smokers are highly at risk for heart disease, emphysema, oral cancer, stroke, etc. There are hundreds of poisonous and toxic ingredients in the cigarette itself that the smoker inhales straight into the lungs. In an authentic hadith, the Prophet Muhammad said that "Whomsoever drinks poison, thereby killing himself, will sip this poison forever and ever in the fire of Hell.
Over 3 million people worldwide die from smoking-related causes each year.
